City of Burnaby Environment Festival

On Saturday, May 28, the City of Burnaby hosts its annual Environment Festival to kick off Environment Week celebrations. The event will take place from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm in the City Hall courtyard and will feature educational displays from a variety of community groups.

The Burnaby Lake Park Association will be there with our display with information about the wildlife that can be found within the park including those identified on the Species at Risk Act (SARA), our environmental stewardship and restoration projects, Weedbusters program removing invasive species from the park ,and how you can get involved.

Burnaby Environment Week is an annual program of environmentally-themed community activities held in early June to coincide with Canadian Environment Week. City staff and our community partners aim to deliver activities that are family oriented, informative and encourage community participation.
