Nest Box Monitoring 2017

February 18, 2017 @ 10:00 am - 1:00 pm

Come out on February 18th for the Burnaby Lake Park Association’s annual Nest Box Monitoring Program.

You’ll be helping us and a variety of bird species by cleaning and repairing nest boxes and gather important information on birds using them. You may also get to see some of the amazing wildlife found right here in the park.

Meet at the Rowing Pavilion and we will break out into work groups.
We’ll provide the training, equipment and even a warm drink and snacks at the end!

Please dress appropriately for the weather and wear shoes/boots that you don’t care if they get wet and dirty, and preferably waterproof. If you happen to have rubber boots that go up to the knees (or higher!) they could also be useful as some of us will need to cross streams to get to the nest boxes.

Check local forecasts and do keep in mind that there has been a lot of snow and ice at Burnaby Lake.

PLEASE RSVP to info@burnabylakepark.ca

  • Due to the unusual weather conditions we have had recently, you will be added to the email list so you can be kept informed of any changes due to the weather.
  • Please contact our volunteer coordinator if you would like to bring a group. info@burnabylakepark.ca or if you have any questions
