Wildlife Photography Workshop with Connor Stefanison

This event at Piper Spit is organized by the City of Burnaby as part of Environment Week but thought it could be of interest to the Burnaby Lake Regional Park Community. 6:30 PM to just after sunset (9:30 PM), meet at Piper Spit boardwalk, Burnaby Lake Regional Park (end of Piper Avenue, off Winston Street)

What to bring: camera, long and short lenses (or whatever you have), flash (optional), tripod (optional), bird seed (optional), appropriate clothing for the weather

This workshop offers tips and advice for aspiring nature and wildlife photographers of all interest and experience levels. Participants learn the basics of creating pleasing wildlife images by focusing on aspects such as composition, lighting, lens selection, and creative techniques.

Connor Stefanison is a Burnaby based wildlife photographer of considerable renown. He is a recent recipient of an international portfolio award given to wildlife photographers between the ages of 18 to 25 years in the Wildlife Photographer of the Year Awards. The awarded images are part of a world-touring exhibition that includes Victoria’s Royal BC Museum.
