The BLPA Board has been busy planning events for the rest of the year. Mark your calendars for these BLPA events this Fall

  • Saturday, October 12 – 10 am to 2 pm – World Migratory Bird Day Celebration
  • Sunday, October 27 – 11 am to 2 pm – Salmon Sunday at Cariboo Dam
  • Sunday, November 10 – 12 to 3 pm – Fall Sunday Funday
  • Sunday, December 1 – 11 am to 2 pm – Holiday Open House

September Stewardship Opportunities

Be a champion for native plants! Join the Burnaby Lake Park Association activities to remove invasive plants

Our stewardship work around the Nature House continues! We will be digging out invasive Himalayan Blackberry roots from beneath the weed cloth that was laid down earlier.


No Experience Necessary.
Training and refreshments will be provided.

Summer Sundays with the BLPA – August edition

Get outside and get connected to Nature!

The Burnaby Lake Park Association will be “popping up” in the park this summer

Meet us in front of the Nature House on Sunday, August 11. We’ll be there with our display to answer your questions about the the plants and wildlife you will find in the park, what the BLPA does and how you can get involved.

Ask one of our volunteers about how to use the most popular nature apps. Learn what you can do to keep birds safe and about the Bird Friendly City Certification program.
