The Burnaby Lake Park Association (BLPA) is a non-profit society and we deliver on our mandate through the work of a Board of Directors, Staff/Contractors, Committees, and the support of Metro Vancouver Regional Parks, and Metro Vancouver community. The BLPA has made progress on our 2016 Strategic Plan and look forward to continuing that work.
The BLPA Board is made up of Volunteer Directors who are responsible for establishing strategic priorities and policy.
It can be a maximum of 11 Directors with two year terms. This ensures that every year there is an opportunity for board renewal. A Nomination Committee was established in as part of our bylaws in 2020 and it is tasked to find suitable candidates to meet the needs of the board.
Directors are elected at the BLPA’s Annual General Meeting.
