Final Weedbusters of 2024

It’s hard to believe but it’s time for our two final Weedbusters work parties for 2024!

We are going to continue maintenance of the Wildflower Meadow at Lenson, continuing to remove invasives and spread weed cloth to prepare the site for future planting.

October Stewardship Opportunities

It is time for Metro Vancouver Regional Parks’ EcoBlitz events!

Metro Vancouver introduced EcoBlitz in 2014 as an environmental stewardship festival across all Metro Vancouver Regional Parks. These events focus on activities that protect park plants, waterways and wildlife from the threat of invasive species and habitat loss.

Be a champion for native plants! Join the Burnaby Lake Park Association activities to remove invasive plants

Our stewardship work around the Nature House continues! We will be digging out invasive Himalayan Blackberry roots from beneath the weed cloth that was laid down earlier.
