As a Park Partner, the Burnaby Lake Park Association proudly works with the Metro Vancouver Regional Parks Foundation. Together we carry out stewardship and wildlife monitoring events and projects in Burnaby Lake Regional Park.
Metro Vancouver Regional Parks Foundation (previously known as Pacific Parklands Foundation) is the only registered charity dedicated to supporting Metro Vancouver Regional Parks and Park Partners.
With the number of park visitors rapidly rising, MVRPF works to fill the gaps in public funding through unique programs and funding opportunities to connect partners with the resources they need to complete inspiring conservation, education and enhancement projects which help Metro Vancouver Regional Parks and Park Partners be the best they can be.
Metro Vancouver Regional Parks Foundation supports partner groups like the BLPA with projects such as:
- Stewardship and education programs;
- Protect and preserve important wildlife habitats in Burnaby Lake Regional Park;
- Enhance park facilities for all visitors;
- Restoring trail access and park facilities for park visitors
- Build a strong future for Burnaby Lake Regional Park.
The previous donations received helped fund our purchase of two sets of binoculars to help us make birding and nature accessible to all. Your generous gift will go towards the replacement of our nest boxes around and on Burnaby Lake. Thank you!
