Walk 30 and more…

D2RxIDuUkAA-PBnIs anyone participating in this walking challenge between New Westminster and Burnaby?
If you are interested in exploring Burnaby Lake Regional Park to get your walking minutes in, here are some links to some useful information.

  • How to get here by car and transit
  • Trail Map with amenities – download here or pick up a copy at the kiosk at Avalon or Nature House (they’ll have other info pamphlets too).
The main loop around the Burnaby Lake is 10 km, so depending on your walking pace, could be as quick as 1h40 at 10 mins/km or if you are interested in looking at birds, plants, trees, etc, more like… 2.5 hours. Or longer 😀 There are shorter routes of course. If you are on transit, you can start at one end at Sperling Station and end at Cariboo Dam, and get on at Production Way or take the bus to Lougheed Station.

Check out Walk 30 Burnaby New Westminster site for more information and check out the list of Jane’s Walks they are offering this weekend! Secret forests, Star Wars Day? Check out the events tab!
