BLPA at Canada Parks Day

July 19, 2015 @ 10:00 am - 4:00 pm

Canada’s Parks Day takes place on the 3rd Saturday of July each year.

Along with activities at the Nature House led by Metro Vancouver Park Interpreters, the Burnaby Lake Park Association will be there with our displays highlighting our stewardship activities in Burnaby Lake Regional Park. This highlights the important role that parks play in maintaining healthy and resilient ecosystems, protecting critical habitat for species-at-risk and contributing to human health and well-being.

We’ll be joined by our friends, the Eagle Creek Streamkeepers, who conduct stewardship activities along Eagle Creek which runs alongside Piper Spit and empties into Burnaby Lake.

You can find our displays located in between the Nature House and Piper Spit.
