Nest Box Monitoring #1

Are you interested in birds? Do you like being outside and working with your hands?
If so have we got an event for you!

Come out on January 17th for the Burnaby Lake Park Association’s annual Nest Box Monitoring Program.

You’ll be helping us and a variety of bird species by cleaning and repairing nest boxes and gather important information on birds using them. You may also get to see some of the amazing wildlife found right here in the park.

Meet at the Nature House and break out into work groups.
We’ll provide the training, equipment and even a warm drink and snacks at the end!

Please dress appropriately for the weather and wear shoes/boots that you don’t care if they get wet and dirty. If you happen to have rubber boots that go up to the knees (or higher!) they could also be useful as some of us will need to cross streams to get to the nest boxes.
